These works were born from my career in domestic work and the exploration of the subtleties of home. Beginning with embroidering female genitalia in the center of a traditional Pennsylvania Dutch Hex, the works pay homage to women's rights and the freedom to have bodily autonomy in a time where the future looks uncertain. Suspended in the dark, vulnerable, unsure of which way we will grow, these works carry the hope of a brighter future.
