Nice Words
Lois has been such a gift to my partner and I as we embark on making tangible improvements to our lives. She entered our home gently with a judgement-free energy and left us with an achievable holistic approach to self care through cleanliness and organization. In particular, her approach to encouraging personal responsibility in shared domestic spaces feels like such a remedy to our city's struggle with trash at large. If I could inject her philosophy that everyone deserves to exist in a clean, peaceful environment into the minds of every Philly resident, the city and the world would be a much cleaner place!

I am thrilled to share my recommendation for an extraordinary domestic work collaborator, writer, and advocate who played a critical role in our lives during a significant transition. Lois, with her unparalleled expertise in organizing, keen understanding of how to align our environment with our life, and genuine dedication transforming the way we think about domestic work, has left an indelible mark on our household.
During the daunting process of moving homes, Lois proved to be a fantastic partner. From the moment she stepped into our house, her calm and composed demeanor infused a sense of tranquility into the otherwise chaotic atmosphere. Her competent approach to the task at hand was truly commendable; she meticulously planned every step of the process, ensuring that nothing was overlooked, and our belongings were packed with utmost care. From labeling boxes to coordinating the logistics of the relocation, she ensured that the entire process flowed smoothly. As someone who has experienced the stress of moving in the past, I was amazed at how she managed to turn what could have been an overwhelming endeavor into a surprisingly enjoyable and stress-free journey.
However, it was Lois' unique ability to go beyond just organizing that truly set her apart. She took the time to understand our lifestyle, preferences, and goals, which allowed her to create an environment that perfectly suited our needs. She ingeniously reimagined the layout of our temporary apartment, seamlessly merging functionality with aesthetic appeal. It was evident that she approached each project with a personalized touch, making the entire experience fulfilling and gratifying. One of the most remarkable aspects of Lois’ approach to organizing is her holistic perspective. She goes beyond merely decluttering and arranging possessions, recognizing that our physical environment is intricately linked to our mental well-being and overall productivity. By understanding how we lived and worked, she artfully transformed our living space into a sanctuary that effortlessly complemented our daily routines and promoted a sense of harmony.
Throughout the entire process, Lois exemplified the true meaning of grace and kindness. Her genuine concern for our well-being and her willingness to go above and beyond to make this transition smoother for us was both touching and comforting. Even during the most challenging moments, she radiated positivity and optimism, keeping everyone around her motivated and at ease. Her attitude was infectious, and it reassured us that everything was under control, allowing us to relax and entrust the process to her capable hands.
I wholeheartedly recommend Lois to anyone seeking a collaborator in their home who transcends the traditional organizer role and brings an unmatched level of thoughtfulness, adaptability, and social consciousness to her work. With her unique blend of competence, empathy, and advocacy, she has proven herself to be an exceptional asset in a time of life transitions.

A poem by Madeline Keenan
What you’d find at 8pm
on a gloriously normal
Tuesday evening
dirty dishes
a sleeping dog
a woman dancing, her skirt
grazing my bare ankles
I stand with my hands
sopping soup bowls now
clean
she turns up the music
drowning the complains
of my younger halves
(Aside they smile for
they love every song she plays)
The dog gets up
The lighting gets dimmer
I don’t want to dry my
hands just yet
